SIGN THE DEFERRAL AGREEMENT Online or Mail In

If you are eligible for the Deferral Agreement, you have thirty (30) days from the issue date of  your ticket to do so.  Otherwise, your ticket will be sent to Lake County Superior Court and you will be issued a Notice to Appear.  This agreement states the defendant shall agree to:  

• Pay the $245.50 cost of the Deferral Agreement by credit card online at http://lakecountyin.org/ under the Join Deferral Program tab or Traffic Ticket Payment tab.
• Pay the $245.50 cost of the Deferral Agreement by mailing in the payment and the Deferral Agreement available from the Officer or Munster Police Department to the Lake County Traffic Clerk, 2293 North Main Street, Crown Point, IN 46307.
• Pay the $245.50 cost of the Deferral Agreement in person at the Lake County Traffic Clerk, 2293 North Main Street, Crown Point, IN 46307.
• Will not commit any traffic violations or criminal traffic offenses for a period of six (6)  months from the date the agreement is signed.

Upon completion of the agreement term of six (6) months, and provided the above requirements are met, your citation will be dismissed.

IF YOU FAIL TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE AGREEMENT IT WILL BE CONSIDERED NULL AND VOID.
