This is to inform the residents that, over the next few weeks, new signal timing plans are being implemented on Calumet Avenue.  New timing plans will be implemented for morning peak, mid-day peak, evening peak, and off-peak hours at all 14 signalized intersections on Calumet Avenue, from Main Street to River Drive. 

These new timing plans will address the increase in residential and commercial traffic demand on Calumet Avenue and enhance traffic flow. The new signal timing system will optimize the timing of traffic lights based on the most recent turning movement count data assembled for all signalized intersections.  The traffic signals will be coordinated to provide for better traffic progression along Calumet Avenue.

As part of this implementation process, over the next 3 to 4 weeks, adjustments will be made in the field so the new signal timings will address side street traffic delays. 

This initiative is part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to improving transportation infrastructure and ensuring a smoother, safer commute for all residents.
